Experience Albuquerque, New Mexico through a Self-guided Craft Brewery Hop

Image
I went to Albuquerque to attend a conference. The conference was at the Clyde Hotel in downtown Albuquerque. The downtown area appeared pretty empty during the week and did not have the hustle and bustle I expected. I was, however, impressed with the number of craft breweries in the Albuquerque area. There were several breweries downtown, within walking distance from the Clyde Hotel. I also enjoyed several breweries that were within a 10 minute Uber ride. According to the beertenders that I spoke with, the brewers and beertenders of the local craft breweries support each other in their endeavors which is super cool. Many beertenders gave me great recommendations regarding the next place to go based on their favorite place to drink..... other than work. The variety and welcoming atmosphere of every brewery made for several evenings of friendly conversations with the locals while soaking up the unique vibe & flavor of Albuquerque. Brewery Hop in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Image
We went to Santa Fe for a long weekend get-away. Santa Fe is beautiful with its view of the mountains and Pueblo style architecture. We loved learning about the history and culture, visiting the beautiful Loretto Chapel and St. Francis Cathedral, strolling through the Canyon Road Arts District and eating the mouthwatering New Mexico cuisine. And then...we decided to take a day and do a Brewery Hop. Santa Fe is not necessarily known for its craft brewery scene, however, the Santa Fe Brewing Company dates back to 1988 and the Second Street Brewery has been in operation since 1996. The city of Santa Fe is currently the home of 8 different craft breweries, 3 of which have 2 locations each. We encourage you to try all 8, however, there are 5 within walking distance of the Santa Fe plaza. History of Santa Fe Santa Fe was originally home to several Pueblo Indian villages. In the early 17th century, the Spanish Empire arrived and declared the area the "Kingdom of New Mexico." In 1607...

We visited Santa Fe for a long weekend get-away. We wanted to go somewhere warm, relaxing and with a little culture. Santa Fe was the perfect place. In our experience, Santa Fe has a very laid back atmosphere and people are genuinely friendly and polite. The city celebrates i's rich cultural heritage through its food, architecture and art which makes for a wonderful vacation. Additionally, Santa Fe is located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and has over 300 days of sunshine each year - you can't beat the weather and the beautiful landscape. All of this makes Santa Fe a wonderful place to go for a romantic, couples weekend or as a family to enjoy nature and culture. Why visit Santa Fe?  Santa Fe celebrates the many native cultures that have historical roots in the area and still call this area home. Santa Fe is the oldest European community west of the Mississippi and the oldest capital city in the United States. Santa Fe has one of the largest arts markets in the...
